Originally, i didn't think that i would like Persepolis but i was completely wrong. I actually enjoy reading this book. I never thought that i could get into a book about a girl growing up but it is much more than that. It is her struggle with who she is. I also originally found it very hard to follow what was going on in the story because of all the pictures. Now i am a few hundred pages in and i find that the pictures help me understand what the author is trying to say more clearly.
What are your thoughts on the book?
I like the pictures too. When you read something you naturally visualize it in your head, and I like that the author did that for you. It makes reading faster and more enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteI like the story, and the pictures are nice, but sometimes I think it makes the read slower. I tend to like to visualize things the way I want, but it is a good technique for the author to show you exactly how she wants it to be seen.
ReplyDeleteI liked the pictures and the story alot. I too thought I would not like the book because it was about a young girl, but it turned out to be very interesting. Good job cale :)
